Saved Games (.flt) Not Loading?

Tried to resume a flight earlier this evening and on both occasions had an instant CTD as soon as I clicked the flt file name in the pop up Explorer box. Seems to be a wider issue as also mentioned over at FS dot com in fact surprised no-one has put it on here (I also checked the CTD forum but no mention). Posted in here as it seems likely a wider spread FS20 bug).

 

Anyone else encountering this?

Good old Scenery Simulator - just as I was quite getting to like the thing another fail from Asobo.

Maybe they decided the answer to save games not always restoring nav etc information was to not have us able to load save games...

I'll be in my Anaconda continuing my galactic circumnavigation in ED, until/if they fix this latest mess.

No, not really.

As an aside I decided to have another go last night, couldn't even get to a point where I could save the flight as it froze after takeoff.

Elite Dangerous, I paid around £17 including the Horizons add on and according to Steam I have nearly 700 hours logged, 99% of which is actually playing and enjoying the game.

FS20, for which I paid £60, Steam shows 164 hours playtime with the in game logbook recording a whole 35 hours of actual flying. The rest has been spent downloading, troubleshooting and assorted hair pulling.

Now maybe Asobo will get their act together and FS20 will become the greatest title ever, or perhaps the whole thing will just end up flushed down the software toilet - as MS already did with Flight and Dovetail with Flightsim World.

So the really helpful outcome from Zendesk on this was to check Malwarebytes etc. isn't running (which it isn't, I only enable it when doing an active scan). But in essence it means Zendesk/Asobo/M$ are suggesting to run their primarily online based programme, you may need to switch off all the utilities which protect your PC while it's online...

Amateurs...
