Seeking aid with frequency issues

Featured Replies

I've given the trial of P2A a shot today, since I really like the idea and want to use it as a training program to perhaps one day have the competence for VATSIM, as well as the simple fun of being able to /talk/ to atc whilst doing MSFS flights.

I've set up a flight plan from EDGS to ETHB today (for OnAir cargo flights), and tried to start the flight. EDGS had a tower frequency, though asking for clearance got no reply. I eventually figured out the area radar control (langen radar) and asked them to get me the clearance delivery frequency. They pointed me to EDGS tower, which, again, was silent to any and all requests, even radio check.

Now the question is, was this just me being a noob and there was something obvious I missed? Flight plan was filed, frequencies were dialed in correctly etc. I just wonder why a) every other frequency directed me back to the tower and b) the tower was completely silent at all times.

EDGS does not have a tower frequency in the AIRAC data or P2A.

It does have an Info frequency on 120.375.  If you want Info frequencies to be able to do Tower duties, you must set the option on the ATC Settings tab of Config for "Info Acts as Tower".  A disconnect/reconnect will be required to enable this feature.
