November 11, 200619 yr Well, I installed the new desert texture fix (the first one) but did'nt backup the textures like an idiot. Now, the new version of the file requires me to have the backups! Where could I find the originals (on the CD) if I can? Thanks Guys!Max
November 11, 200619 yr 1 - Rename the texture folder (don't delete). 2 - Do a FSX repair;3 - See if everything is ok4 - Delete the renamed folder;5 - Do a backup;6 - Apply the fix;7 - Defrag;Jos
November 11, 200619 yr Author Did you have any tweaks done? (to fs9.cfg, default.xml, reduced autogen etc) You may have to redo them if so.I think I better add this to it:md backupcopy /y 013b2*.* .backup013b2*.*copy /y 050b2*.* .backup050b2*.*copy /y 129b2*.* .backup129b2*.*copy /y 128b2*.* .backup128b2*.*copy /y 003b2*.* .backup003b2*.*copy /y 056b2*.* .backup056b2*.*copy /y 067b2*.* .backup067b2*.*copy /y 081b2*.* .backup081b2*.*copy /y 009b2*.* .backup009b2*.*copy /y 001b2*.* .backup001b2*.*copy /y 075b2*.* .backup075b2*.*copy /y 002b2*.* .backup002b2*.*Instead of this:2) Back up your existing FSX/Scenery/World/Texture folder to a location outside of FSX. This will alow you to resinstall your default textures if you do not like this modification. This step is mandatory.Garett
