Startup Pack On/Off

Featured Replies

I have a doubt for Airbus, the packs must be On or Off for engine starts?
In addition, for takeoff in TOGA, the packs are selected On/Off?

I don't know if they're the same procedure as 737NG?

They will go off automatically when you start and then on some time after start.

Okay, thanks guys! 😉

Selecting the ignition on the pedestal cuts out the packs if you've turned them on prior to engine start. Well, it's meant to do that if the aircraft is modelled correctly.

For takeoff packs on reduces engine performance. The limiting factor is runway length, not flex/MCT/TOGA.
