Thank you DONWalouigi

Interestingly enough, the Tenguska Blast of 1908 had the same effect in Eastern Siberia.Speculative hypothesis pointed the effect to be caused by one of the following:1. Blackhole2. UFO3. Natural H-Bomb phenomena4. Antimatter5. Electromagnetic phenomena

I thought they knew already that Tunguska was caused by a meteor exploding several hundred meters above the ground? However, I had to think of Tunguska the moment I looked at that screenshot, too. :D

The upside down tree textures are a common problem with converting your textures from DXT5 to DXT1. Not only that, there is significant degradation of your textures. Phil Taylor of ACES warned against this particular "tweak", stating that drastic quality reduction resulted from doing this, while yielding questionable performance benefits. If you backed up your original textures, the best advice would be to restore them.
