A320 Wing Drop On Landing

Featured Replies

Well, just to say that after having reinstalled MFS, that came with the latest patched version, and flying the FBW A320x, made two complete flights with no wing drops on landing.

Maybe pure luck, maybe not 🙂

It doesn't help that 1g stall speeds are wrong in the Asobo flight model. Have a revised flight model in draft form in this PR at flybywiresim (https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx/pull/1580), but am still looking at pitch angles in different configurations before it will be ready for QA testing there.

Awesome, the unreliable airspeed charts in the AFM does a good job at showing different pitch and power settings. You have to be careful with the approach section, it carries a 10 kt safety margin. You can use the flight crew training manual for the landing geometry to see the approach pitch when on speed or VLS. You are looking at a pitch change of 1 degree for every 5 kts of speed change.
