FlyTampa StMaarten and Vector

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have FlyTampa StMaarten and Orbx Vector running on a P3Dv4.5.

The problem I have is that I don't get the FlyTampa custom autogen everywhere.

I suspect it has something to do with Vector.

But in VECTOR AEC I cannot select TNCM StMaarten to disable it.

Vector AEC only changes the elevation of the airfield. I don't remember TNCM being an airport affected by Vector, especially as it is not located in any of Orbx's region products.

One possible reason for your missing objects could be if you have ever used FranceVFR scenery in your P3D? There's an issue with different developers' autogen libraries not being able to run simultaneously.

Before P3D v4.5 you could use the third party tool 'Autogen Configuration Merger' to run more than one library. Unfortunately, due to changes with how LM has coded P3D, it doesn't work properly any more.

In your P3D autogen folder, locate the file 'default.xml' make a copy and rename it (e.g. default.xml.VFR). Reinstall FlyTampa's TNCM, hopefully that will update default.xml with FlyTampa's data.

If that works, make a copy of this new default.xml file and rename the copy to (e.g. default.xml.FT). That will allow you to swap between the different autogen files depending on which scenery you are using.

Many thanks. I have never used FranceVFR scenery.

Hmm, weird. The only times where autogen has failed to display has been caused by other developers' own autogen libraries or a conflict with another scenery. Aerosoft and Gaya Sim were culprits before.

Have you raised this issue on FlyTampa's forums? They do sometimes respond to problems.

I did not because they do not always respond or take a long time to respond.

I have only one Aerosoft scenery installed: Geneva.
