Vertx DA62 - how is the GPS displayed?

There are various displays available on the Vertx DA62 but the one shown on this video at 8m 0s has defeated me. It shows what I think is the GPS display but for the life of me I cannot get it to show.

Can anyone and what is its purpose?

It's on the AUXILLARY Page 3/5 "GPS STATUS"

IRL one of the main benefits of this display is to determine what kind of SBAS (Space/satellite Base Augmentation System) capability you have. In the Vertx you will have everything enabled?? (can't remember) 🙂

  • WAAS (America)
  • EGNOS (Europe)
  • MSAS (Japan?)

Can also easily determine any chance of Dilution of Precision (DoP) if you have signals from satellites very close to eachother. - check the Constellation window.
Also, You need at least four satellites I believe for altitude determination (that question always shows up on PPL NAV theoretical exam!)

Thanks! I’ll check again tomorrow. I know you use the larger dial to move between modes but do I need to do anything different once I’m on the Aux page? Watching the video it was very dark so hard to make out specific mouse actions.

Its amazing what Sean has incorporated into this gem.

Ray, try the "FMS" knob right of the MFD. It should actually be two knobs (Outer/Inner). Like I wrote before it's been so long since I've used an in depth G1000 but if they even resemble My trusty GNS430 in the Piper, the outer knob will change sections and inner will scroll between section specific pages.

@SAS443, so easy when you know how! Thanks. It looks like the display units of Gal cannot be changed to Kg or Lbs. Pity as it's not an option that can be selected in P3D.
