Can´t start the simulator

Featured Replies

Installed yesterday the update without any problems. Today as I was going to fly, the sim won´t open. When I start it, I see the normal black screen before the white Xbox screen. The round thing on right down corner does nothing and then sim closes down, or crash to desktop if you will call it that. I have removed all my addons and sceneries but still not working. Any help to to solve this?

Check that your anti-virus isn't blocking things because it's suspicious about a change to the program.  After every MSFS update I get a request from my anti-virus to allow Microsoft flight simulator to access the internet (because it has spotted that the executable has been changed).  This event happens during the black screen bit while the spinner at bottom right is running, i.e. when I assume the app first tries to talk to the internet.  The black screen and spinner stays in view until I answer "yes" and then things move on (and I don't get prompted for anything until the next patch).

Thank you for your answer. However, problem solved. Deleted the Content.xml file and sim started normally and created that file again of course. Bizarre.....
