I was wondering if you could use your own maps in LNM? I suspect that they would need to be geo referenced. I am thinking of the background maps in Jeppesen Flitestar. You can print them as a pdf. They do show lat and long. 

I suspect not but I thought I would ask anyway. Thanks in advance.

But not with a PDF. Probably more work to geo reference than it's worth. Maybe better to use one of these:
