November 15, 20205 yr I decided to attempt to fly from London Gatwick to Alicante Spain and selected the airports in the MSFS planner selecting GPS. Gatwick opened up as my departure and checking my flight plan, LEAL (Alicante) showed as my destination. The arrow pointer on the Garmin however was pointing NORTH when of course it should have been roughly south. Sure enough, when I got airborne and started up autopilot, it headed me north. I restarted and reset the flight and exactly the same thing happened so I am flying it on autopilot but using the manual heading instead. Does anybody have any idea if it is a bug or have I done something wrong? November 15, 20205 yr Well, knowing more about your flight plan may help as I have seen instances where indeed departure is „away“ from destination because active rwy is pointing in another direction and/or SIDs are pointing not straight towards your destination airport. In other words: flight plans right after takeoff do not necessarily point into direction of your destination Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
