A/T disengages automatically on engine failure at Vr. Bug?

Hi, 

I was wondering if this is a bug or if this behavior is normal. Im using the aircraft failures from the CDU options menu to cut one engine at rotation speed. 

According to some guys over at PPruNe this should be a simulation failure because the a/t is never automatically disconnected.

Is that true? Im receiving contrary answers here.
