November 17, 200619 yr Have a strange canopy/door issue that just cropped up. It doesn't matter if the aircraft has a button to open the doors or you press shift-e. The doors open part way and then close back almost slamming shut. I checked and repeat is turned off. Anyone else have this happen?http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...s/Mullins01.jpg"A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting." - The DoctorDon MullinsNiceville, FL.
November 17, 200619 yr Could it be that you we're parked near a refueling station?I noticed this behaviour, but as soon as I left the profimity of the station, doors worked fine again.
November 17, 200619 yr You know come to think of it I was. The place I was at only had a parking space near the pumps. Guess I'll have to move somewhere else and give it a try. Thanks!http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...s/Mullins01.jpg"A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting." - The DoctorDon MullinsNiceville, FL.
November 17, 200619 yr Author I'm still an FS9 participant watching the FSX channel, but I bought FSD's Navajo V2 which has been updated for FSX with the standard Navajo model that was included. It was the new standard model Navajo that got me to buy it again for FS9.I noticed and posted on the FSD support forum about my door opening and closing issue. The door seems to open ok with corresponding sounds in sync but when I close it with shift+E I hear the closing sounds but the door doesn't move for a full 10 seconds or more. On one occasion I had to reload the aircraft to get it closed. This might be a cross FS9/FSX issue. No big deal in the functionality of the airplane only for the copilot that has to close it. Daryll
December 23, 200619 yr My FSD Navajo does this in FSX. Sometimes won't close at all, sometimes does after a long time - sometimes actually closes straight away!Gary
December 23, 200619 yr Author Gary I think this door issue is because they've added so much other animation to the update. ie wipers, arm rests, tables in cabin, fridge door.Because there is no "Active Camera" for FSX, I don't know how well those animations will be appreciated by FSX fliers.Daryll

The "normal keyboard commands" in FSX are sufficient for that purpose:Ctrl-Shift + EnterCtrl-Shift + BackspaceCtrl + EnterCtrl + BackspaceShift + EnterShift + BackspaceWhen combined with the "Mouse Look" (press and hold Spacebar + move mouse + zoom with mousewheel) and you have it all available! December 23, 200619 yr Don -Have you, by chance, recently recalibrated your brakes, perhaps for FSUIPC4? The doors will not open correctly unless the throttles are closed and/or the brakes are fully engaged. I had this problem and after recalibrating the brakes with the newest version of FSUIPC4, all doors opened and remained open.Hope this helps.Merry Christmas!
