November 22, 20205 yr Hi: I am running the latest PAO and just installed LatinVFR's KFLL. When I start PAO I get the error shown in the link below. But what is strange is that the add-on.xml is recognized and works fine in P3D v5.1HF1. I checked the encoding with Notepad++ and the encoding matches all my other add-on.xmls (UTF-8-BOM). I have attached the xml file for your information. Is this a problem with PAO or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help! Dropbox link deleted. November 22, 20205 yr Commercial Member The problem is this: Quote <AddOn.Component> <Path>E:\Prepar3D v5\LatinVFR\Fort Lauderdale_KFLL</Path> </AddOn.Component> This definition is broken. An <AddOn.Component> structure must have a <Category>, otherwise the sim doesn't know what kind of content is supposed to be in there. The sim will just ignore this error as usual (the sims purpose is to run at all cost), but a program that handles configuration files can't. November 22, 20205 yr Author Many thanks! That solved the problem. One would think that a developer would be able to code an xml file correctly!!! I'll deactivate the dropbox link now.
