been using Pilot2atc for years and just read in a comment that you announce to tower "cleared of the active" tower will hand you to ground, ground will direct to parking". over the years I assumed this was not modeled so never used it.

So tried this the last few flights, I exit the runway, pass the hold short lines, announce to tower " clear of the active (using my call sign "   and nothing !!!!   tried several times and no acknowledgement from tower !!!

is this a setting I need to check ???   or does the tower just just not like me ????

Take a look at the Speech window and see what's being recognized in Green text.

You can try a slightly different phrase "<CallSign> clear of active", dropping the "the".  Also try "<CallSign> is clear of active".

ok I have finally got the tower to switch me to ground after clearing the active:   now ground doesn't like me, 

Question:  what is the proper phrase for an Airbus.  certainly don't want general aviation parking, I have tried. "Gate".  "Terminal" "I hate your mother". Probably just need the correct phrase. ????

Try setting the gate you want in the Info panel and then say  "<CallSign> request taxi to the gate",  Be sure to include the word "the".  If you don't select a gate, it will give you a random gate, but this might not be the right size/type for your aircraft, so selecting it is a good idea.

Alternatively, you can decide what gate you want and request it verbally:  "<CallSign> request taxi to gate delta twenty two".  Notice no word "the" included for this version.
