I did a flight from KLAX to KSAN on the Boeing 787 and the Auto Throttle was not functional. I could not auto maintain the speed. I had to manually move the throttle to maintain speed and carefully adjust speed on the ILS 9 to KSAN. It was holding the LNAV nicely including capturing the ILS.

Hmmmm...
