I saw a message on the MSFS forum that there was some user confusion about the (names) references to MSFS updates. Appeared the hope is now for an MSFS fix in the scheduled 12/23 update. For other users reading this, the led lights to show gear are down are evidently not functioning in MSFS until Asobo puts in support with a fix..
