November 25, 200619 yr In case you missed it, instructions are posted here:http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/PMDG_..._Simulator_X.3FI have the 1900D and it works great in FSX. Also, here in the Avsim Library is a file containing thumbnails for all the variations of both 1900s:http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=94040Jim
November 25, 200619 yr I installed the 1900C into FSX and have 2 problems:1. Strange sound in cockpit views. A slow changing pitch cyclic sound change.2. The FS9 default GPS in the VC cockpit view has the GPS picture tilted away and distorted.Anyone have these same problems?Mike
November 26, 200619 yr Thanks for the links. I'm having a problem with no gauges in two parts of the 2D panel Please see attached. Any help would be appreciated. I've followed the directions as per the link. Craig
November 26, 200619 yr I have the PMDG 1900D Express. My suggestion is to use the original installer (plus the update) and copy all the files from the gauges and effects folders to the same folders in FSX. Note that you aim the installer at the SimObjectsAirplane folder and it will install an FS9 folder in there. Just copy over the plane folder to Airplane folder. Works like a charm. Also notice a huge frame difference between 2D and virtual cockpit. 2D adds at least 5-8 fps.
November 27, 200619 yr There's a huge frame hit if you fly with the VC. First picture is 2D cockpit then the next is the VC, roughly that's a 15 fps difference!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/Lent1/pmdg2d.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/Lent1/pmdg3d.jpg
November 27, 200619 yr Author Commercial Member Guys,Armen's looking at the sound issue (has something to do with the new spatial sound processing in FSX) and I'll try to figure out what's going on with the VC GPS when I get a chance...FPS loss in VC vs. 2D, not much we can do about that. February 25, 200719 yr Ok, I can't install the service update for 1900D. I do not have FS9 Installed, everything was removed including PMDG. So I installed the first pmdg 1900d file into C:program filesmicrosoft gamesflight simulator 9It installs fine. Then I try to install the update and it gives me the error message "This product requires that you have the PMDG 1900D installed prior to upgrading." What shall I do?
