Game not updating/unplayable

Steam updated the 300MB but the game never checked for updates, gave me a marketplace error and was looping through press any key to start which is weird because I haven’t seen that in a long time. Anyone else?

Haven't seen that, but you may want to try logging out of everything (Steam, MS account, XBox account) rebooting, logging back in to everything and trying again...

Also, once you have rebooted and logged back in, go to Settings, Gaming, Xbox Networking and ensure everything there is ok.
