I only have an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti - Am I hosed for MSFS VR?

Featured Replies

I have an Intel i7 8750H CPU, which should be OK, but I have read that the bare minimum on a GPU is NVIDIA GTX 1080 or equivalent.

Am I hosed on being able to run MSFS 2020 in VR on my Quest 1?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can weigh in.

Yeah, your going to struggle mate.  You could turn settings like render scale way down to get minimal required performance but it's going to look bad.  I'd hold off until your next upgrade, but why don't you just try it... everyones tolerances and expectations are different.

Try it. It's a stretch, but vr on low settings is still better than pancake in any setting, in my opinion

I have an i5 6600 & GTX 1060 and I’ve got it working pretty well with the Oculus Rift. With a slow plane (ultralight) I can run it at render scale 100, clouds on “high” and a bunch of other things on “medium”. I’m not sure about the Quest though - I assume it has a higher resolution than the Rift?
