Recording a flight.How to get the mike to work ?

I can easily record a flight in windows 10 by ..   windows key +  alt key  + R ( whilst in the sim )  but when I connect a mike to my lap top that does not work so I am unable the make a narrative as I record the flight.   Any ideas what I need to do ? thanks  😬

I just downloaded the free version of OBS Studio and use that. Makes recording far easier.

The recording interface has two volume sliders one, for your game sound and one for the microphone.

Slight learning curve but there are YouTube tutorials. If you let it autoconfigure for your system it should just work.

I would use windows key + g
