"Discovery Flight"

Featured Replies

Hi All.

In a recent update which brought the USA update to us, there was the mention of a new "Discovery Flight" up the Eastern seaboard of the States. But I'm damned if I can find it to undertake it. Can anyone help please?

Thanks.

The discovery flights have a short shelf life, typically going away after a major update has taken place.  Not sure if someone has the actual flight plan, but it's basically a flight leaving from KSWF, flying down the Hudson River, then through NJ, PA, DE, MD and finally ending at KDCA.  The aircraft used for the flight was the Cessna Caravan.

Here's a link to a youtube video showing the actual flight path in the first 10 to 15 seconds of the video.

That doesn't make any sense at all. The new update was supposed to introduce the new Discovery Flight...not remove it

There is a new Bush Trip which is still there.

The Discovery Flight associated with the world update is usually a time-limited menu item which goes away with the next patch.  Like the Halloween landing challenge &the Japan Discovery Flight, the US Discovery flight timed out.

However, the .PLN files for both the Japan and US flights are posted in this thread on the MSFS forum so you can fly them with any aircraft - https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/discovery-flight-usa-disappeared/341727/5
