January 2, 20215 yr I have just reinstalled P3D. Previously I had manually deleted all individual joystick commands and controls in the P3D control menu. This was fraught with error though when P3D either think it discovered a "new" old controller, or missing a command. I see through reading enough now that the recommendation is to "disable controllers" in P3D, and then assign axes and buttons in some combination of FSUIPC and LINDA. I have now done this, but have no lost the default P3D hat switch control. I had always before left "view pan" assigned as default to the "Hat POV". I have the Honeycomb Alpha yoke and have tried assigning the various hat positions "on press" and "repeat" to "Pan_up", etc. This leads to a fairly choppy panning. I see in the FSX control list is the control "pan_view" which is what the hat had been assigned to. But this is only a single command, so I don't know how I'd use this in LINDA. Is there a best practice for using a hat to control views assigned through LINDA? Thank you for any help! Eric Szczesniak
January 2, 20215 yr LINDA has problems handling inputs that requires rapid response like pan view. In this case I use panview in FSUIPC. January 2, 20215 yr Author I'm sorry all for the clutter. My first Google search didn't turn up anything helpful, but my subsequent ones showed to assign it as an axis through FSUIPC. Didn't know it would show up as an axis. Eric Szczesniak
