Reality XP GTN750 not working on steam XP11

Recommended Posts

I recently bought the RXP GTN750 and was planning to use it for multiple aircraft. I am using steam XP11 and when I load into the plane the display doesn't pop up and I have to go into the plugins and open it. Even when I do that it pops up  and is a black screen. It looks like all the buttons are registering that my mouse is over it but doesn't nothing. I have the engines running and avionics/battery on and still nothing.

In my case I got black screen too after update trainer 3.0. Developers keep silence! (( But there are real friends here! Uninstall fully 3.0 and install 2710 on the link here real works. BUT if you do backup folders Databases before uninstall 3.0 and will return it back after install 2.71 you will get cycle 2004 instead 1909. Unless of course if you are the owner of a newer cycle ))

This has happened before when Garmin updates the trainer.

Hey @RXP ... you are working on an update?

It looks like it’s updated but I can’t get it to work in any aircraft.

Upd: reinstallation helped.

Hi,

I had the same issue but I think these are steps needed once you install trainer v3.0.0

  1. Remove all GTN/Trainer installations.
  2. Manually remove the GNS/GTN plugin folders from x-plane.
  3. Install latest rxpGTN-XPL-Setup.exe (mine is: rxpGTN-XPL_v2.5.28).
    Trainer 3.0.0 will install itself.
    Confirm default folders.
  4. After trainer installed, open the trainer manager and press the "Version Manager"
  5. Scroll until you see the "GTN(v6.70)". It was not installed on my machine and the update column shoes that there is available version.
Press the Update button, this will download the "compatible" information needed.

Once finished, open X-Plane 11 and test your Garmin:

I haven't tested this implementation yet, but it looks fine.
