No longer assigning runway + voices problem

Featured Replies

Hi

Lately, when getting clearence, I am not assigned a runway. The SID and Transition are given. Atis report one or two runways in use.

I have Hazel, Zira and David installed, and "Use random voices "checked, as I beleive that will alter which position they are at!?

Sometimes Zira, I think, comes with an accent or a dialect that is almost unreadable. Is that a part of the program, that they alter their speech??

P2A v2.6.1.3 x64, P3D v5.1

Best regards

Rune

P2A does not ever alter a voice accent.  You can alter the speech rate and volume of a voice, but the accent is the same.  Maybe it's a different voice.

As for getting a runway, if you get IFR clearance, you should get an "expect runway xx" as part of the clearance.  And then, when you request taxi instructions, you will also be given the runway to taxi to for VFR or IFR flights.

Thanks for quick response Dave. Both your answers support what I was thinking. Nevertheless it happens. The voice sounds like something like english with a spanish/russian accent. And the clearence given is complete, except for the runway assignment. But when requesting taxi, I am given instructions to «Hold short runway xx». So I can’t complete my FMC programming untill that moment. I would be happy to attach the logs, but can’t find a possibility to attach anything, but an url link.
