January 27, 20215 yr It seems occasionally ATC tells me to turn the wrong direction for the heading with the latest version. Is this known? For example, I'm at heading 090, it will tell me to turn right to 075.
January 27, 20215 yr Author Yes 2.6.2.0 x64 If it's not a known issue, I'll try to grab and example the next time I see it. Edited January 27, 20215 yr by AuFinger
January 27, 20215 yr Commercial Member It is a know issue, but it is not consistent. If you hit it again and can email the log file to me with a description of what the bad heading was I can look for it and see what's leading to this. Remember, ATC will give instructions based on their last heading rather than on your aircraft heading. Your aircraft heading is not necessarily known to ATC, only your track. So if your last assigned heading was 070, ATC will tell you to turn right to 075, even if you actual heading is something different. Dave Edited January 27, 20215 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
January 28, 20215 yr Author Yeah, it's inconsistent. Sometimes it works. I don't recall this on the previous version, FWIW. Here's the text input I snagged. The first heading coming off of GPS and was wrong too. It was a left turn to 108. I did that, then the next direction was 098. DELTA Thirteen Thirty Seven good evening . Radar Contact. January 28, 20215 yr Commercial Member The P2A log file has additional detail that would help troubleshoot. If you could send me the log file for this flight, or one the next time it happens, I can see what's going wrong. P2A Log files are located in: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs where <UserName> is your PC user name. Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab. Thanks, Dave
