ATC repeats words sometimes

Featured Replies

My problem is intermittent. Sometimes (maybe once out of 10 transmissions) ATC will repeat one or two words. For example, saying "United 777, turn right heading 110" it may say "United 777, turn right turn right heading 110. I have adjusted the hardware acceleration for sound under DXDIAG, but have not been able to solve this problem. I am running Windows PRO, 3.4 GHZ CPU, and the sound card is a SB Audigy 2 ZS.Anyone else seen this problem? It does not happen with FS9, just FSX. Ideas? Thanks,Jim

MATT: Interesting read. I never listen to ATIS so can't comment on reception there. However, on occasion, when I transmit MY OWN position when approaching an "unmanned" airport, my transmission sometimes is CUT OFF in mid transmission. Dosn't happen often enough to be of concern to me.. and my position report will usually "complete" in a sucessive report as I get closer to landing. Do you think your solution would solve this... OR is this a different problem altogether? I HAVE had other sound problems (FSX only) but they have been with engine sound "Run On" after landing when the engine should "sound" at Idle but is "sounding" as though the engine were at 2000 RPM when going to spot view. Cheers: SPOFF
