February 5, 20215 yr Hello, I am trying out Pilot2ATC and noticed that purchased voices can be recognized by P2A. The program recognized a voice I bought from Cerence that is contained in a folder in Program Files named Nextup-Cerence. Today I downloaded two voices that were produced by ATTNaturalVoices (Mike and Crystal) that I purchased throughTextaloud.com. They are in separate subfolders of a folder named ATTNaturalVoices of Program Files, but when I go to config of P2A, open the voices tab, and click on the dropdown list, only the Cerence voice (Vocalizer Expressive ava-ml embedded-high 5.0.2 22kHz) is shown, but not the ATTNaturalVoices named Mike and Crystal. In the Voices tab I can see no way to navigate to their subfolders. Can they be added and if so how? Thank for for any suggestions. Monty
February 5, 20215 yr Commercial Member Voices are installed to Windows, not P2A. P2A then reads all the voices that Windows lets it use as a Desktop application. The voices must be Desktop (not Mobile) SAPI5 compliant voices. Check to see if your ATT voices are SAPI5 Desktop voices. Some voices are not. IVONA and Cereproc voices work in most cases. Cereproc's latest versions are having issues. Dave Edited February 5, 20215 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
February 6, 20215 yr Author Thanks for your reply. I guess that something else is preventing the recognition, because my check on the Nextup website, where I bought Mike and Crystal, states that they are both SAPI4 and SAPl5 compliant. https://nextup.com/attnv.html. If you have any other suggestions or comment, they would be welcome.
