Massive FPS drops with SkyMaxx Pro v5.0.6

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Any help would be hugely appreciated. Just got SkyMaxx Pro v5.0.6 with Real Weather Connector and Active Sky. After installing SkyMaxx Pro got huge frame drops, from 50-60 to 10-15. When I disable SkyMaxx Pro in the plugin admin, FPS goes back to 50-60. Not sure how to attached the log.

My rig:

i9-10850K CPU

GeForce RTX 3070

32 RAM (4x8)

Can't figure out what's happening.

Thanks a lot!

Skymax is using volumetric clouds, except for the freeware it is relativey new, so will have performance issues till they get it sorted, Just use anything but volumetric in the cumuls clouds and you will get your FPS back the overcast volumetric are fine, or reduce AA. It will get better but will take time. Yiou could of just gone to there forum its mentioned there too.

I would get rid of activesky. Having skymaxx, RWC and activesky could cause issues.

Disabling volumetric clouds helped immensely. FPS back to 50-60.

I'm using active sky for wind, turbulence etc., and SkyMaxx for visuals
