How does one get that THS setting for the Trim? In the vid, an entry of DN0.5 is entered alongside Flaps 1.

I ask myself the same question. I know that on the 737 the trim is indicated on the page "Takeoff Ref".

If you calculate your takeoff performance data on http://wabpro.cz/A320/ (built for the CEO, but does the job and will give you your flex temp, which it seems the Flypad doesn't yet), and input your MAC %, it'll give you the equivalent THS setting. I also have a little diagram that allows you to convert between the two and was about to share it, but then I remembered it came out of the FSLabs manual so I probably shouldn't! But if any of you happen to have the FSLabs manual kicking about, that's another option.

That said, I believe that field is optional and some airlines don't bother with it - so you could always just use the centre of gravity scale on the trim wheel and forget about it for now, without feeling that it's particularly unrealistic.
