February 8, 20215 yr Hi All, After my P3D installation getting corrupted I did a hard reset on W10 this past weekend, registry wiped. Reinstalling everything from the ground up. I'm at a scenery install where I'm getting "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window". I have tried the following: Created a registry path of: "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" in regedit Created two keys RegisteredOrganization and RegisteredOwner both with values of my first and last name Rebooted my computer Attempted to reinstall the addon The result is the same error message as above. I reached out to Simmarket and they smugly replied that "if it doesn't work you must have done something wrong". If anyone has any solutions that work I would be grateful. Thanks, Howard P3Dv5.1 Windows 10 x64 Intel Core i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 32GB RAM DX12 GeForce RTX 2020 8GB VRAM Active Sky ASCA PFC Yoke CH Pedals CH Throttle Oculus S Howard Rhett P3Dv4 & v5 | Windows 10 64-bit Home | 32Gb RAM | i9-9900k @ 3.60Ghz | Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 | Cirrus yoke | CH Pedals | CH Throttle Quadrant | Oculus Rift S| 500Gb SSD OS | 5Tb HDD
February 9, 20215 yr I'd just try to repair windows with its own tools, command window with admin rights, SFC /scannow. You could also try an inplace update if the first does not fix it. But all other things you described you did, are just careless. There's no need to destroy windows, if the sim does not work.
