February 9, 20215 yr Author Hello Since purchasing P3DV5 I've had issues with CTD - I've looked through forums and tried numerous things but with no success. Im running a new PC I9-900KF 3.6 RAM 16GB RTX2080 SUPER My only installations are P3DV5 ACTIVESKY FSUIPC6 FSLABS320 GSX UK2000 SCENERY VPilot The CTD dont happen all the time but seem more often lately whilst using FSL320 - they mostly happen though when lining up touch down or approach - today despite the computer being only 1 month old i formatted the computer and started again - on vatsim with GSK and Active sky EGCC UK2000 - EGLL UK2000 no issue - EGLL - EGPH default no issue - EGPH to EGLL CTD after lining up. It doent come up with any kind of error just Vpilot saying it had to shut due to detecting a sim crash. I pulled the below from Windbg Any help would be appreciated thanks ROCESS_NAME: Prepar3D.exe READ_ADDRESS: 000001cb04e8bd20 ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. February 9, 20215 yr I can only speak from my experience but two things that caused issues for me was the older version of trueglass (if your plane uses it), new version came out last month I think, and the other high graphic settings. For V5 8gigs of video ram gets used up quick. Hit Shift Z and see what your Vram usage is. For the sake of argument lower your settings (loading distance, texture size) and see if it fixes your problem. Since upgrading to 24gigs of Vram I have had ZERO crashes. Not a cheap solution I know but it proves where the problem was for me anyway. Hopefully with the next update will come some Vram optimizations for example selecting an option in the menu if you have 8 gigs of Vram or less, something I have seen in a few other games. February 10, 20215 yr Author No I don't have true glass, the CTD happened again this morning but when going into the weather settings at the gate - no error message found module name g2d.dll and error code The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %.
February 10, 20215 yr Author From the past 3 CTD the following modules have come up in the crash dump files ASCONNECT G2D FSLSOUNDS there were plenty of others in the past all with different modules
