Can't save any GTN750 Settings (resolved)

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I ran into a problem while setting up the GTN 750 in one of my aircrafts:

If I change any settings in the GTN750 settings window in X-Plane and click on accept everything seems fine. From that point on I am not able to reopen the settings window, tho. Furthermore, the sim crashes if I try to close it or if I try to load another aircraft. The result is that my new GTN settings are not getting saved.

Is there someone who experienced this and knows how to help?

Kind regards,

Franz-Niklas

Update:

Sorry guys, I had the great idea of updating to the newest RXP GTN Version after posting this. Should have done that earlier.

It works now 🙂

Update:

Altough I can save my settings now, this problem as described above still occours sometimes. I can't reproduce the error and it is very random.

Can you please tell me which of the "above problems" is still happening? (I'm sorry to ask but there are 2 or 3 different problems in the OP)

Since I updated to the latest GTN Version I am able to save settings. I do this one by one, because I hope it saves correctly.

But the exact behavior that I described in the original post is still there, but only at random times.

Furthermore, the sim crashes if I try to close it or if I try to load another aircraft. The result is that my new GTN settings are not getting saved.

For example:

I open the settings tab and change a setting. Click on "accept" - GTN reboots, settings are saved. I reopen settings tab, change the next setting or revert earlier made changes and the GTN does not reboot anymore. Sim crashes when trying to reload aircraft, load another aircraft or when I try to shut the sim down. This happens randomly.

This is the kind of error which is hard to track down unfortunately. Please don't hesitate to add to this discussion if this is happening again in the future. Maybe it is only some of the settings causing this (like changing TAWS or TCAD option, but not when changing Connect to HSI). If you can find a certain way to repro, it will help a lot.

I will take some notes on when exactly I run into the error, maybe there is a way to track it down 🙂

Will report any results here.
