December 12, 200619 yr Can anyone tell me how to get a cold start on the Bell? Even if I hold down the crtl, shift, f1 keys as soon as I release them the engine starts back up again.Worst is when I switch a/c sometimes and then new a/c has enabled the batt, gen a/v but my last a/c I was in they were off. I have many go-flight products to to then sync them I have to use the mouse to find them and turn them off only to go back and turn them on.I sound like a giant whinner in this post I know but a part of the flight is preforming a start-up that can add to the fun of hte overall flight.
December 12, 200619 yr Hi FolksGA Flyer -AFAIK Start your flight at your chosen location, set your required environmental conditions, then shut down the a/c normally. Now save the flight as something like ICAO LOCATIONNAME B206 - Cold & Dark.Next time you select that flightthe a/c should be in a Cold & Dark state.HTHATBPaulhttp://www.basys.f9.co.uk/resources/images..._sig_500x94.jpg ODG Preview
December 12, 200619 yr Paul,I tried starting the flight by loading the 172 and making it cold and dark then switching to the Bell. When I switch to the bell the engines are running and I can not shut it down by pressing the crtl, shift, f1 key.

December 13, 200619 yr >There's also a file around the avsim library which makes ALL>aircrafts start cold n' dark. Try to browse the misc or the>utilities part of the FSX library. The file is called cdx.zip under the miscellaneous section.
December 13, 200619 yr All I'm asking is can anyone get the default bell to have a cold and dark start and if so, how? I dont think one should need to use an addon to shut down the default a/c.I have no desire to tweak or add to FSX but use this version strickly as an out of the box sim. If the Bell can not be shut down then perhaps ACES could think about changing this. So once again what I am asking for is does anyone know how to get the default bell cold and dark because everytime I try and shut it down it keep spooling up.
December 13, 200619 yr GA FLYER, what i have done is go to assignment menu and under engine commands you will find engine autostart and autoshutdown,i have assigned these to the toggle switch under the hat switsh on my flight sim yoke, this deffinatley shuts down the bell.any button will do,joystick or yokehope this helps paul
December 13, 200619 yr thank you will give that a try. Could you also confirm for me that Crtl, shift , f1 does not work for you as well?
December 15, 200619 yr GA Flyer,Maybe next time you should formulate your question a little better. As far as I am concerned, your first message generally asked how to get to the bell 206 with a dark and cold cockpit.Don't feel like you need to thank people that spend some time trying to help you either...You're welcome anyways.
