When I first installed FSX, I had no problem bringing in the DF B58 {without the Reality gauges, of course} and I flew it around for over three hours - recorded in the log].However, I have just re-installed FSX to resolve another problem and now I get a ctd every time I try to load the B58.The problem is the main B58 .gau file - FSX starts to look for it then stops completely and ctds after a couple of minutes. If I take out this file the B58 loads ok - of course without the instruments.I have the B58 fully installed and running perfectly in FS9 on a separate partition and I have tried every way I can think of to bring the aircraft into FSx - all without success. Whenever FSX looks at the B58 .gau file it leads to a ctd.I know that I should be able to get it flying so very grateful for any help on where I might look next. Many ThanksJohn Rooum

I am running the "lite" version fine-although I've customized the entire radio stack. I did find if I tried to save the default startup flight with th DF Baron that that caused troubles. All I did was reinstall it to a dummy fs9 folder-then move everything over to the proper folders in fsx. I then edited the panel to add a few gauges and redid the radio stack to match my real bird. Here are a few shots:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=249026&page=3http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

GeofThanks - I am sure that is just how I did it. Except that I copied the files from a new B58 install in my FS9 partion {as before}. However, since the first time, I have done a complete re-install including Win Xp and it looks as though I have some form of conflict between FSX and the OS and this one particular file - as the same file is ok when FS9 loads it.Cetainly, FSX looks at the file, notes in the fsx.cfg that it is "trusted", then stops reacting completely. Then a minute later ctd!I guess that once the turkey's finished I had better clean all the B58 files and links out and start again!John R
