March 2, 20215 yr I’m doing the mission Rome Naples Airline Run. I can’t seem to gain altitude much using the AP. I have throttle set to full and the ATHR button pressed and the VS set to 2000 and the altitude set but the plane gains altitude very slowly. Not like on other planes. Also it says my altitude is set to 11000 at the top of the altitude meter but the blue outline (the bug?) is all the way at the bottom. Is there some setting I am missing in autopilot or am I not going at full speed? The N1 on both thrusters is set to over 90. Which AP dials do you have to press in to turn on? I think it’s only the heading and Alt dials. Any help would be appreciated. I’m a stickler for doing the missions in order but I got stuck on this one.
March 2, 20215 yr Administrators If I remember, the A/P buttons darken a bit when engaged. You should see Altitude, Heading and Speed symbols in the PFD if the buttons are set correctly! In my screenshot, the ones circled in red will darken and make sure the ones circled in green are lighted. My numbers are not correct for being on the ground, so those can be ignored. Also note the things circled on the PFD indicating everything is on!
