March 5, 20215 yr I'm using a keyboard. I take off, level off, and then use trim to stabilize, as instructed in the tutorial. I hit escape to go to the menu and lookup the key for some control. When I return to the game, it seems like I often pitch up or down dramatically. I assume my trim setting has been reset, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how to make sure I don't reset my trim when using the menu temporarily? Or if it's not the trim, how to avoid this sudden pitch? On a related note, I can press [Num 5] to center when turning. is there a way to have a key center the yoke? I find it really hard to tell if I've got it centered or not.
March 6, 20215 yr When I hit Escape it also does it to me at times. Not sure if it happens to everyone though. I just grab my joystick real quick, but might be harder for keyboard use. Also, if you are hitting escape to look up a key, maybe you can write down the important ones for now. Of course a cheap joystick would be better, but some people only want to use a keyboard, especially while new to flight sim and learning. Good luck, and have fun! Are you new to flight simulation? Some people also use the Xbox controller?
