I tried copying FSX to my G drive as a complete backup.Worked for FS9.Copying failed with error message about Franfurt.dds in scenery.Tried to delete the whole thing and get error message"cannot delete file cannot read file from source file or disk".Checked other folders on g drive and there is nothing in them.Went to system restore to restore to 12/22/06 and it says there are no restore dates. My c and d drives appear to be OK but I havn't tried running FSX yet.Do you think my g drive crashed? Thanks for any help.Ron

If the error message was about a Failed Delayed Write, I get those with some external disk drives (haven't quite decided if the fault is in the removeable drive code or the firmware in the drives). Seems to happen most when I move either a large number of files or really big files (which FSX would qualify for both :-> ). I tend not to trust data on external drives because of this and try to keep backup copies on multiple computers internal drives (copying over the network may be slower, but it generally doesn't fail :-> )Tim
