what would be the best way to overclock the 5900x for MSFS2020? PBO or an all core overclock? Also my motherboard has Dynamic overclock switching, anyone already has this up and running for msfs2020?

Ive found PBO to give the best results

Will give PBO also a try  ,do you see real benefits? Think margins are rather slim.  

i run PBO and curveoptimizer MSFS use only a couple of cores no need at all for all core OC.

my 5950x clocks is around 5050-5125 on the used cores in MSFS

i not use the all core boost and not raise the currents it help the cpu to run cooler and clock higher on the cores MSFS need, i see no diff with SMT off or on 

normal cpu usage in MSFS on 5950x is 10% with gpu pegged at 100% only 3-4 cores do real work

yes thanks, what I thought. Will use PBO as well. I can do -15 on all cores in the curve optimizer. will have to test more, had 200Hz overclock boost but some say this will result sometimes even negative. My board has dynamic overclock switching, but is at the moment not needed because MSFS is not using all 12 cores. Usually GPU running 100% or less and I am GPU limited 95% of the times. But had some major fps drop after update 3. Have to see what is possible when I get back home.
