ActiveSky P3Dv4 Strange Recurring Weather

Featured Replies

Hi there everyone! Hope everybody's having a great day.

I've been using AS for P3Dv4 for a year now but started to notice about a couple of months ago a strange oddity. I'm regularly flying to/from southeast Asia, and every single time I fly in and out of Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), the airport is apparently under a MASSIVE thunderstorm. The way I understand it, AS is using live weather and replicate it in the sim right? Having been in Singapore, I know the region is prone to tropcial storms on a relatively regular basis. However, it cannot be the case on a daily basis. Any idea why ?

Thanking you all for your help !

Configuration: Intel Core i7 9700K @ 3.6GHz (normal) - 4.9GHZ (turbo) |  MSI Z390-A PRO | G.Skill Ripjaws V Black DDR4 2 x 8 Go 3200 MHz | Inno3D GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER Compact | Seagate BarraCuda - 2 To - 256 Mo | Crucial MX500 M.2 1 To | Asus TUF VG27AQ | Logitech X56 H.O.T.A.S

First thing you should check is your AS settings to make sure it's actually set to live weather and not historical. Once that's ruled out, error searching can begin

Had the same thing look for the Setting „prevent thunderstorm When CB Reported“ or similar to that. Should fix it.

Whenever I am in doubt about AS accuracy, I google for the Metar of the airport in question. If it matches, all is good...if not, AS has a problem.
