P3Dv5 - nvwgf2umx.dll - CTD

Recommended Posts

So I Installed  a new nvidia driver recently and I started up P3D, (v5.0.31.35253) and it loads then the scenario screen for like 5 seconds then disappears...  I've done a reinstall , and deleted the config for auto repair, and deleted the Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 folders from program data and User\Appdata\Roaming. Even updated windows , and a BIOS update. Event viewer says:

Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 5.0.31.35253, time stamp: 0x5eebf566
Faulting module name: nvwgf2umx.dll, version: 27.21.14.6589, time stamp: 0x605cd9e9
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000001b1643
Faulting process id: 0xd28
Faulting application start time: 0x01d725caebb5f246
Faulting application path: E:\Prepar3D v5\Prepar3D.exe
Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nvhdci.inf_amd64_f09057085c62254c\nvwgf2umx.dll
Report Id: f3df7e0b-0f79-44a4-b9f4-db681e032e3c
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

So isn't the nvwgf2umx.dll an nvidia driver dll? And if the driver is the problem, idk if I want to downgrade to my previous one and always have an outdated driver...

Can you solve it? I have the same issue 😪

Go back to your previous nVidia driver.

Please help I am getting this dll crash and have tried literally everything: Reinstalling P3D and nvidia drivers etc. How to fix? You mentioned I have to go back to the previous nvidia driver but how do I do that? Thanks a lot.
