Central America Pt 2 - Honduras

This flight begins in Honduras at Tela on the Caribbean and finishes in the capital city of Tegucigalpa.  In between we will fly over numerous mountain ranges, visit islands in the Caribbean, as we zig-zag our way across the countryside.

The route is 355 miles in length with 12 landings.   I will be flying the Cessna Caravan in Sansa Regional colors.

Jeff, thanks for the detailed Pilots Guide. You provide a nice overview of this part of Honduras that helps word not allowed Yankees, ourselves included, to appreciate a little of what is happening in the country nowadays.

[EDIT. The original "word not allowed" starts with "ign...t". Substitute "under-informed". Gosh!]

Just to complicate matters, the ATC ID and the registration on the paint do not quite match..

To fix this, I have edited the aircraft.cfg file:

atc_id = "C-FHAD" ; tail number

Well that was just excellent. Beautiful islands and mountain terrain and lots of interesting airfields. And who would have known that Catacamas would be such a challenge.
