Once you activate ATC for a flight and the ATC window appears, how do you deactivate it if you no longer want ATC for that area? Sometimes when I save flights with ATC on, I don't want ATC the next time I fly that saved flight. It seems like there is no way to turn off ATC for an airport once you activate it.

Just dont answer the controllers a couple of times. They will come back with a couple of pissy sounding "Did you hear my last transmission?" and then they will terminate your radar service.
