May 15, 20215 yr Thought I'd try something other than bright sunshine for a change. A quick hop across a gloomy looking Berlin from Aerosoft/Limesim's Brandenburg to the Gaya Simulations Tegel. PG off as usual (I've no idea if Berlin is a PG city or not) Looks like it might be brightening up Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
May 16, 20215 yr Very nice ones, Andy. I really need to try that heli. It's downloaded but not yet installed. Can't wait to crash and burn 🙂 Btw, the inner city of Berlin is PG in MSFS Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

I've just been working through RotorSimPilot's training videos and it's really frustrating. If I try some of the techniques he shows my system doesn't seem to behave the same way. For example, even his first lesson (getting up off the ground with attitude hold on AP) - I do exactly as told (raise collective and don't touch anything else) but on the video his 135 just raises and lowers with maybe a tiny little bit of drift, but mine goes up and then moves quite consistently sideways to the left and backwards. I've tried messing with the sensitivity for my controls, I've re-calibrated in Windows but none of it makes a difference. Maybe it's because I'm on a more recent mod of the H135 and it's more pernickity, but it's annoying. But I'll persist - I refuse to be out-smarted by a bunch of pixels. Yeah, I keep meaning to go through and add the details of where the PG exists in the sim into my scenery spreadsheet, just in case I want to try any of it out. Mostly though, I'm just happy to be rid of it, most of what I've seen is too ugly for me. I look at the splash screen of Paris now and it just confirms everything I feel about PG - melted buildings and ridiculous greenery. It may not affect most folk but on my 40 inch 4k monitor it screams at me.
