May 19, 20215 yr Hi Im still using fs9 because of the aircraft im using which is the cessna 172 learner which has digital gauges (not available on FSX) My problem is setting cloud layer. For instance set to overcast and a base layer of 800 feet tops of 10000. Approach the airport with a mile visibility and I cant see the runway till I get below 300 feet and by then its too late. Any explanation would be welcome. Thanks

May 20, 20215 yr Author Hi I understand that but surely once ypu drop below 800 you should at least see the ground below. I see nothing but cloud till 300 feet.

That's the way they managed to reproduce low visibility. So no matter how high you set the cealing if visibility is set to, for example 2 miles you will see the runway at 600 feet, 1 mile to 300, 3 miles to 900, etc.
May 20, 20215 yr Author ok thanks for that. have installed active sky now and am having problems with that. Is it compatible with fs 9 under win 10 Thanks
