Hardware Compatibility -- MSFS 2020?

Featured Replies

Moderator -- I've asked a variation of this question in the "hardware, controller" forum, but I'm hoping this might pull more pertinent attention.  Of course, please don't hesitate to relocate if appropriate.

Can anyone provide a list(s) of avionics and flight control sim hardware that is basically "plug and play" with MSFS 2020?  That is, not requiring a third party software utility and programming to make it fully functional?

I ask because I'm getting to be more interested in flying the sim than having to work around hardware issues in order to operate it,

Thanks,

Brian

I built one of these...and I have to say it works phenomenally https://www.etsy.com/listing/861158855/class-echo-microsoft-flight-simulator

I don't use any of the AP stuff on my honeycomb throttle and just use the class echo I built. Way easier using the touch screen and rotary knob

Thanks Nick,

I can see its utility but I'm really interested in buying avionics and flight controls that work out of the box with either/both P3d (v5,1) and MSFS 2020.

Apart from a couple yokes (Honeycomb and a PFC BATD unit) that seem to work fine, I have the full corporate flying set of Goflight modules and 8 handful of Logitech FIPs which are basically door stops unless I can find (and understand!) 3rd party software to get them functioning -- this using only the aircraft already included in the sims.

If I need to replace these hardware, I'd want to go with similar avionics and controls that are demonstrated to be compatible with the two sims,

Thanks again,

Brian
