June 6, 20214 yr For some reason my flight turned VFR. Okay. But is there a way to request IFR once airborne? I could not figure how to do that. Anybody know the phraseology?
June 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member There is no support yet for "pop-up" IFR clearances. However, you should be able to disconnect/reconnect P2A, then File the IFR flight plan and make initial contact with the Center Controller. "<Call Sign> at FL xxx" or "<CallSign> climbing to FL xxx". Just be sure you are on course for the flight plan you file and the program should pick up and work normally for the remainder of the IFR flight. Dave
