A point of departure for flying over the ancient Rome!

Okay, okay ... without special permissions - for safety reasons - it is not possible to perform a real VFR over the Colosseum or San Pietro Square ... But Flight Simulator has been invented "also" for this!
So here is certainly some good news.
Aleksej "Alex" Unishkov's beautifulmodelworld.ru has released its seventeenth scenario in less than a year: Rome-Urbe Airport (LIRU).
It is the third airport of the Italian capital (although it was the first to be built, in 1928), located in the northern part of the city. It offers service to private flights, including commercial flights and is equipped with a modern heliport.
The airport hosts the Roma-Urbe weather station, the Rome Aeroclub, several flight schools, charter and helicopter management companies and a specialized press agency.
A Compound of the Italian Air Force and a Italian Carabinieri Helicopter Squadron (Militare Police) are allocated at the airport. LIRU is also used to host air events.

The package also contains a 10-page ReadMe file (in three languages: English, Russian and Italian) with interesting information about the airport and flight maps for the VFR.

I also purchased the collection from Alex. Very good deal, considering the high quality of all those airports.

Cheers, Ed
