Flight level change in SID

Can Pilot2ATC issue a flight level change during a SID.

I fly from EGJJ. SID ORIST has a 6000 ft max until ALD but real life aircraft get directed to higher shortly after take off. Can Pilot2ATC issue a level change?

Pretty sure it can't - options are either to ignore the nagging (don't like that one) - or ask for a direct-to that is after the SID / restriction that you want to avoid....
