June 19, 20214 yr [this post was moved from another topic - please don't cross post] This is an old post but I wanted to see if it had been resolved. And my request is actually more basic than this. I need to figure out first how to actually get the GNS 430 into the panel on the AFL C172. So far I can only hover it onscreen. Can someone help? Edited June 22, 20214 yr by RXP
June 19, 20214 yr Author Maybe I'm just dense, but if instructions exist in the RXP GNS 430 package on how to integrate the unit into the panel of a given aircraft, I am unable to figure it out. So I have two questions: 1) How do I replace the Laminar 430 with the RXP 430 in my Airfoil Labs C172? 2) How do I get the RXP 430 to pair up with the glideslope needle on an LPV approach? Thank you to anyone who can help.

Each sim aircraft developer seems to write to their own standard, so some provide support for other 3rd party products like for instance RXP GPS models. But some do not. If Airfoil Labs has not provided for integration of the RXP GNS 430 then your best bet will be help from another user who has successfully accomplished the integration. Note that RXP does not have rights to modify another developer's products. In regard to your 2), you indicate you have gone through the RXP User's Manual. I recommend you revisit it. Take a close look at the Configuration Menu. There are a number of options there that can control the pairing between the aircraft model and the RXP GNS. Again, important to point out here is that the aircraft model developers do not all write to the same standard. So the selections you make in the Configuration Menu may need to vary from aircraft to aircraft and that can make the difference. I still fly FSX and will point out that with that sim if you scroll down deeper into the Configuration Menu there may be one additional option something like Use Simulator GPS Commands. If that is there for Xplane then try selecting it and check the results. Otherwise wait here for another Xplane user who flies the Airfoil C172. June 19, 20214 yr Author Thanks fppilot. Even though you use another platform, that's still helpful for me as I try to dig into this. I'm slowly figuring out some of the manual, but I'm very much NOT a technical computer user so it admittedly takes a LONG time. After revisiting I see the area where my eyes started to glaze over were the exact tools I need. But currently still don't make sense ... 😃 But I'll keep working at it. I'll have to play around more with the configuration menu. So far I haven't found a setting that does what I need. But maybe it's buried in there. Thanks again.
June 19, 20214 yr Author Woohoo! Question 2 is answered. I just had to click through them until it worked while flying an LPV approach.
